Infomercial Fabulous

Guess what happens when you're up before 6 AM (an hour formerly unknown to you as it was deemed unacceptable)? For the first time in your life, you get sucked into the phrase, "if you call within the next 7 minutes, we'll make your first payment of $29.95!" Whoa whoa what? That is SO nice of you, Tracy! Now where's my VISA???

I just traumatized my body and ordered the Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis today. Watch out world, I'm pretty sure I'll be looking like this very soon.

This is huge for me. I'm not sure I can do the Tracy Anderson (starvation) diet, because of nursing and all the caloric restriction. But if I can ever find the time, I really need to start the workouts. My body is, um, ravaged, to put it mildly. I've never been one to obsess about my body image, but something must be done. Help me, Tracy! Helllllllpppppp!

By the way, this is one of Tracy's opening lines on the informercial:

"There's nothing wrong with your body..."

Oh, I'm sorry. HAHAHAheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehahahahahahohohohohohoho.

".....you just haven't been doing the right things with it."

Oh. Well, if you put it that way. That's true. I don't think that eating two Starbucks birthday cake cake pops a day with a side of Cheetos is helping my cause.

Anyone do Tracy Anderson yet? Seems like it's catching on lately. I'm excited to try, if I can find the time. Actually, I think that might be harder than the workouts!

Let me know what you think of it!

  1. Too funny! I was sucked in this AM by Cindy Crawford’s miracle face cream... You do Tracy Andersons videos, I'll do Cindy’s face cream & then we’ll talk {maybe swap}... I'll be your supporter if you'll be mine! LOL You can do it. I actually want to order it too! :)

  2. Oh you think your body is ravaged? Wait until your hair freaks out from baby hormones! Right about 9 or 10 months after delivery. It literally makes me want to cry, seriously! Number five has done a number , I don't think it will ever recover. So if you see an informercial anytime day or night that promises miracle hair starting with ... There is nothing wrong with your hair...CALL ME. PS I want to order the TA program too ;)

  4. Yes, I do a Tracy workout 1-2 times per week in addition to a barre class I go to. It is hard! Good luck to you!!!

  5. I have to remove myself from my casa to workout. I so badly wish I could workout at my house. The convenience factor is huge. Have a great week!

  6. Yay! I'm excited that someone I know is ordering it! You'll have to tell me what you think of it. I've been curious, but seriously, like the poster above, I feel like I have to remove myself from the house to be able to truly workout.

  9. I just found your blog after googling the Tracy Anderson Method for the last three hours. I too just took the plunge and ordered metamorphosis. I celebrated by eating a hamburger and a milkshake for lunch today. Gotta live it up before I subsist of twigs and leaves for the next 90 days. Also, my name is Julie, too, so that means I automatically like you. Anywhizzle, all that to say that I'm glad I found your blog and look forward to following along with you!

  11. Give yourself time and keep nursing. You did just have a baby! The weight will not magically fall off overnight, but with time it will. 9 on 9 off is a pretty good rule of thumb. Wishing you the best of luck!

  12. Ha ha. I've been considering punishing myself with her workouts. Hmmm. Let me know how it goes!

  13. I agree with Peppermint...give yourself time! You just had your beautiful baby. Just go for long walks and enjoy!

  14. You should also order Tracy's post pregnancy video which will inspire you to get back in touch with your body after giving birth. I had two c-sections and a pooch to go along with them. The pooch disappeared quickly and I developed those "cut" lines that join the legs to the torso. This workout changed the way I think about abdominal workouts/crunches. It also addresses other problem areas. And yes, all her workouts are VERY challenging but you can do it! Blessings to you and your family!

  15. Julie,

I can't wait to see what you think of TA. I have been doing the Barre Method 3-4x a week for the past 4 months and am in the best shape of my life.....something I wasn't expecting so soon after having a baby. Breastfeeding has done wonders for my metabolism, too. I gave myself 4 months after birth to just "be". And then I got into action. You'll feel amazing. Good luck!

Also - the burlap folded over the metal trim of the corkboard well and doesn't show any gaps or unevenness. Just pull it tight. Then the nailheads run along the edge of the invisible trim. It looks level to me.

  16. That's why I don't watch infomercials...do you know how much stuff I would buy...but this sounds great. I think you have at least nine months to get the weight off.
